How did we start?
Advantage Caravan Repairs, (ACR), commenced operation in July 2005, in a small factory in Campbellfield, by its current Director, Peter Robinson.
Peter has worked in the Caravan Industry since the age of 17 years and is well known and respected in the industry for his knowledge and skill. Peter 'knows' caravans. He has worked across multiple areas of caravan manufacture, before undertaking to open and establish his own RV Service and Repair Centre. His technical ability, product knowledge, creativity and networks are crucial driving forces behind the businesses success.
Testament to Peters status and credibility in the industry is his regular 'Ask the Expert' column in Caravan and Motorhome magazine. This column allows readers to write in questions or queries and Peter responds with expert advice. We now have a following of readers who eagerly await each issue.
With Peters expertise combined with his skilled team, all repairs conducted in his workshop are to the highest standard.
Where are we at now?
ACR has grown steadily and significantly since opening its doors in 2005. The business is now owned and operated jointly with Peter and his wife Joanna and we have re-located to a larger premises in Thornycroft St Campbellfield. Today, we boast a spacious, modern and highly functional workshop. Together we have continued to invest in our business, offering you now, Victoria's Leading Caravan Repair Centre.
Our team comprises mature, experienced and skilled staff, that take pride in their work. We have a multidisciplinary team (various trade backgrounds), as the nature of our work cuts across many industries, from cabinetry through to electrical. We have a qualified motor mechanic to oversee all of our caravan servicing. We currently employ 10 staff across full, part time and casual roles.
Customer service is very important to us. Good Customer Service assists in creating trusting relationships between the customer and repairer. Customer Service is not just about how you are treated when you ring us, it extends to your experience for the duration of time whilst your van is with us through to how you are treated when you pick your van up and how we manage issues that arise afterward. We strive to ensure that our customers have a positive experience with us. We do this through initiatives such as: treating you with with respect, keeping you up to date with the progress of your caravan, informing you of costs involved and assisting you when you pick up your caravan. In addition to focusing on our relationship with you, we also have a customer evaluation program in place. This program allows us to actively seek feedback from our customers at the completion of the repair process and we are able to implement changes and new initiatives accordingly.
ACR is located in Thornycroft St. Campbellfield, just off the Hume Hwy.

Service Safe Accreditation Program
Have you heard about the Service Safe Accreditation Program? We are Service Safe participants. The Service Safe Program is an initiative of the Caravan Industry Association of Victoria, and prescribes business standards, processes, equipment and staff qualification standards. Upon successfully demonstrating our competence across all areas, via an audit, we became an accredited RV Service and Repair Centre. This is identifiable from our use of the industry's 'key'. This key ensures that our customers can be confident that our business meets the stringent standards set out by CIA Vic.
